National Desk: The cases of Omicron, a new variant of corona, are also increasing rapidly in Rajasthan and today 52 new cases were reported, taking the number of their patients to 121 so far. According to the Medical Department, maximum 38 cases were reported in Jaipur on Saturday while three each in Pratapgarh, Sirohi and Bikaner, two in Jodhpur and one Omicron case each in Ajmer, Sikar and Bhilwara.
Nine people have returned from foreign travel
These new patients have been admitted to the dedicated Omicron ward. Of the new cases, nine people have returned from foreign travel, while four people come in contact with them and two are ex-Omicron patients and have traveled to another 12 states, the rest are others. After these new cases in the state, the number of Omicron patients increased to 121.
Of these, maximum 77 patients are from Jaipur so far. Apart from this, 118 patients have been reported in Ajmer, five in Sikar, four in Udaipur, three each in Bhilwara, Jodhpur, Pratapgarh, Sirohi and Bikaner and one Omicron patient in Alwar. One case is also included in these from Maharashtra. Of these, 61 patients have become healthy so far and 60 are active patients. Omicron cases have crossed 1431 in the country. In Maharashtra, a total of 10 ministers and more than 20 MLAs have been found corona positive in the investigation.
