IPL 2022 Auction: Less than a month is left for the IPL 2022 auction, as the BCCI has already announced the dates for the mega auction on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru.

Ahead of the mega auction, eight old franchises have retained a total of 27 players.

The two new IPL teams (Lucknow and Ahmedabad) were allowed to sign three players who have not been retained by their old team. Most of the players in IPL 2022 will come under the auction table, as the BCCI has decided to place one among ten teams. Large auctions are planned, the last time such arrangements were made in 2011.

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is the most expensive player to be sold in IPL auction history. Yuvraj was bought by Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals) in 2015 for Rs 16 crore. In the same year (IPL 2022), the franchise can bid more than 15 crores on five Indian players. Let’s know who is that legendary player?

1.Ravichandran Ashwin

Tamil Nadu spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was released by Delhi Capitals. Because his bowling partner Axar Patel was retained by Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant and Enrique Nortje for the next season. Ravichandran Ashwin took seven wickets in IPL 2021 and played a key role in taking Delhi Capitals ahead in the league in the final of IPL 2021. Ashwin is just 5 wickets away from completing 150 IPL wickets.

Ashwin has been honing his batting skills along with bowling as he was seen finishing the match against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021. Ashwin has bowled in 164 IPL innings and maintains an economy rate of 6.91 for bowling in the middle overs and maintains full pressure to give runs to the opposition team. It is Ashwin’s ability that he concedes minimum runs in his spell.

2. Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer is a formidable batsman. Who has impressed a lot with his batting style. After assuming the responsibility of captaincy from Gautam Gambhir in IPL 2018, Iyer was given the command of Delhi Capitals. In IPL 2019, Delhi franchise qualified for the playoffs after a long gap of seven years.

Shreyas Iyer has played 87 IPL matches. In which 2375 runs were scored. Earlier, Virender Sehwag (2382) and Rishabh Pant (2498) have scored runs. But Shreyas Iyer is the third highest run-scorer of the franchise to do so.

Iyer can not only offer any team the option of a middle-order batsman but can also be a potential candidate for a leadership role. Shreyas Iyer also has the courage to take over the command of the team with batting. On which any team can make big bets in their court.

3.Yuzvendra Chahal

Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has impressed a lot with his bowling. Plays for RCB in IPL. In IPL, RCB is a prolific bowler with 139 wickets in 113 matches. Chahal’s best figures of 4/25 came against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2016 in Bangalore.

He regained his form in the second phase of IPL 2021 after he was dropped from India’s T20 World Cup squad. 18 wickets for RCB. Chahal has the ability to achieve success in the middle overs and controls the runs with his leg break bowling. 31-year-old leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal can fetch a huge amount in the IPL 2022 auction.

4. Ishaan Kishan

Ishan Kishan made his debut in MI in 2016. Ishan Kishan scored a total of 1452 runs in 61 matches in the entire IPL. If we look at the average, it is 27.30 and the strike rate is 131.90. The best run scored by him has been 99. In this he had scored 0 centuries and 7 half-centuries.

In all these IPL matches, Ishan Kishan’s bat included a total of 66 sixes and 103 fours. Mumbai Indians could not even retain their “Pocket Dynamite” player Ishan Kishan. This small left-handed batsman has done very well for Mumbai in the last few years.

In the 2020 season, Ishaan was at the forefront of hitting sixes, after which he also got a chance to debut for the Indian team. Ishaan has so far during his IPL 2022 mega auction, the Mumbai franchise would like to include this player back in their team. In view of their excellent performance, in this IPL 2022, the franchise can spend up to 15 crores on them.

5. Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel is a great bowler. There is no repetition in this. Haryana pacer Harshal Patel had a phenomenal season in IPL 2021 as he became the highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 32 wickets. He equaled the record of CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo in IPL 2013.

Patel changed the franchise’s match-winning fortunes in the league stage as he has a knack for bowling very economical in the death hours. Patel can use both slow and yorker deliveries with force. He was not retained before the mega auction.

The franchise’s decision came as a shock to everyone, but like other teams, RCB will also be eager to hire his services for IPL 2022. For which she can consider returning them.
