All educational institutions including schools, colleges, coaching institutes will be closed. There will also be a ban on the visit of devotees to religious places. In view of the dangerously increasing corona infection in the state, the Health Department has recommended it to the Disaster Management Department. Classes up to class 5 will also not open in Odisha.

Mini lockdown implemented in Bengal

On the other hand, in view of the ever-increasing cases of corona in Bengal, the Mamta government has taken a tough step. From Monday, in a way, ‘mini lockdown’ will be implemented in the entire state. State Chief Secretary Harikrishna Dwivedi on Sunday announced new Kovid guidelines, under which various restrictions have been imposed. From Monday, all the schools-colleges, universities and educational institutions in the state will be closed again. All tourist places will also be completely closed. There will be no access to swimming pools, spas, salons, beauty parlors, gyms and amusement parks.

Government and private offices will be allowed to work with 50 percent capacity. Local trains and metro will run with 50 percent passenger capacity. At the same time, the decision of the Odisha government to open schools from 1st to 5th standard from January 3 has been temporarily postponed. Now schools will not open for these classes from January 3. Keeping in mind the huge spurt in the case of Kovid in the state in the last two days, the government has decided to temporarily postpone this decision. But the education from VI to 10th will continue.

Colleges and universities closed in Haryana, all schools and colleges closed in five districts

Haryana Higher Education Department has announced on Sunday that all universities and colleges (state/government or private) will remain closed for students till January 12. Staff will be present in colleges and universities as usual and online classes will be held regularly. The Haryana government has already ordered closure of cinema halls, theatres, schools, colleges, gyms, etc. in Gurugram, Faridabad, Ambala, Panchkula and Sonepat due to the rise in cases of corona. For now, the pandemic alert period has been extended till January 12. Restrictions returned to Haryana At present, cases of corona are increasing very fast in Gurugram, Faridabad, Haryana. Because of this, schools and colleges have been closed in these districts.

Schools closed till further orders due to yellow alert in Delhi

A yellow alert was declared in Delhi after Omicron cases increased. Since then all the schools are closed till further orders. In the order issued by the Directorate of Education, Delhi, it has been said that all the schools will remain closed till further orders. Government, non-government, MCD, Delhi Cantonment Board schools will not open during this period.

All schools will remain closed in UP from December 31 to January 14

After Basic in Uttar Pradesh, now it has been decided to close the schools till 12th from December 31 to January 14. Earlier, an order was issued to close the schools up to class 8 in UP. Lucknow’s District Basic Education Officer Vijay Pratap Singh told that there will be a winter vacation of 15 days in the schools from class 1 to 8 in the council schools. In the instructions issued by the Education Council Secretary, a holiday has been declared till January 14.

Schools may be closed again in Maharashtra, decision soon

Meanwhile, there is news from Maharashtra that a decision can be taken once again to close the school-college here again. Maharashtra is one of the states in the country with the highest number of cases from Omicron. Minister in the Uddhav Thackeray government and his son Aaditya Thackeray also said that people should stay in their homes and follow the Corona guidelines. Earlier, State Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has said that if the cases of Omicron increase, then schools can be closed again. However, no official statement has come in this regard yet.

Patna schools closed till January 8

All government and private schools up to class VIII in Patna have been closed. Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has ordered the closure of the school till January 8 in view of the cold on Sunday. This order will come into effect from January 2 (Monday). After January 8, if the weather remains cold, the schools may be closed further.
