Satna: A major accident was avoided at the Bardadih railway gate at 4 pm on Friday evening. A motorcycle passing through a closed gate got stuck under the engine of a goods train. Due to this the traffic stopped for hours.
However, the incident happened in the siding line of the cement factory. Due to this the main rail traffic was not affected.
The incident took place on the rail route leading to the siding of Birla Cement Factory. Here the milkman was trying to cross the track even after the railway gate was closed. During this, the wheel of his car got stuck in the track and then the bike got stuck in the goods train coming from the front. The lives of three youths were narrowly saved in the incident.
It is being told that the goods train was at a slow speed of 10 kilometers per hour. The loco pilot also blew the horn several times, but by then the bike got stuck in the track. Two other youths also went to save him. However, as soon as the train came near, everyone left from there. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident. Railway employees and local citizens restored the traffic after hours of effort.
