Drake | The Motto | Bay Area Whips

Drake | The Motto | Bay Area Whips

We don’t hide the fact that we enjoy visuals featuring custom cars and the fact that Drake’s ‘The Motto’ is our unofficial wake your ass up and brush your teeth song makes this a hot video to us. Props to Drake (and the directors, Lamar Taylor & Hyghly Alleyne) for not only featuring the Bay Area’s car culture, but giving Mac Dre’s mom a piece at the beginning and even throwing E-40 in there for a Cameo!

Bowtie South | Brianna – ‘Rack City’ | Behind the Scenes

Our friends at Bowtie South laced up-and-coming rapper, Brianna, with some of the hardest whips to ever be featured in a music video. Props to Jason Bassett on the clip.

Young Jeezy – On Forgiatos | Official Video

Although the highly-anticpiated album from Young Jeezy, TM103, has been pushed back multiple times, Jeezy continues to drop dope singles and his newest, Sittin’ Low, is especially appealing to us because of its obvious custom car references. The video features a Ferrari, Lambo and a Ghost but the bagged Challenger is by far our favorite. We admit, it kinda looks like a Forgiato commercial but that’s simply a testament to Forgiato’s popularity right now. Also featured in the video is Skrilla and our homie Freddie Gibbs.

Smoker’s Club Tour | Curren$y | #JetLife

The Smoker’s Club Tour made its way to the ATL and thankfully the Jets hooked us up with on-stage access for the show. Method Man and Big K.R.I.T performed early on but the headliner was Curren$y Spitta, who before the show was visibly in pain from his lingering leg injury. Spitta fed off of the crowd coming alive instantly and even though he was posted up on the couch, his presence was powerful. Of course, the rest of the Jet Life crew did their thing and needless to say if you were in the building you left with a mild buzz from the contact smoke. Check the crowd participation at the end, so dope that people can recite every word even though Spitta gets zero radio play. Make sure to cop the new Jet Life album, Jet World order!

Shout out to the homie Tee King from Hot Cars TV for everything and David Yates Photo for a great job on the footage!

Maybach is officially Dead | MMG, now what?

Maybach is officially Dead | MMG, now what?

Mercedes officially put Maybach out of its misery today. Maybe it was the dated styling or perhaps that it’s cousin, the s550, looked more appealing at a 1/3 of the price. Hell, maybe Jay and ‘Ye blew its brains out when they, well, blew its brains out? Either way, the brand is officially dead and that made us wonder; what happens to Maybach Music Group? We obviously know they aren’t affiliated, but what does a record label who put all their proverbial eggs in THAT basket do now? Advice to those who are thinking of starting a record label, you might not want to base your existence on a whip’s popularity – just ask the Pontiac Boys.
