The ongoing farmers’ agitation on the Delhi border may end tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday. The meeting of the United Kisan Morcha held on Tuesday on the Singhu border was also held on the same issue. Now a screw has been stuck regarding the return of the case. The government says that after ending the agitation, it will announce the withdrawal of the case. On the other hand, farmers want the government to give concrete assurance on this right now.

Farmer leader Harinder Singh Lakhhowal said that preparations were on for the announcement on the farmers’ movement today itself, but the government stuck a screw in the middle. If the government sends a revised proposal, then the decision on the movement will be taken.

On which issues do farmers object to the government’s proposal?

Case Wapsi: 26 organizations of Haryana said that if they announce to end the farmers’ agitation without returning the case, they will get stuck like Jat agitation. The Jat movement was also ended in the same way by the government, but the farmers are still facing the case. In such a situation, the farmers’ organizations of Haryana are now demanding an announcement on the return of the case. 32 organizations of Punjab are also with him in this demand.

Farmer leader Ashok Dhawale said that there is doubt among the farmers about the return of the case. We say it is a matter of faith. Cases are registered against 48 thousand farmers in Haryana alone. Cases are registered in UP, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Railways have also registered hundreds of cases across the country. There should be a time limit for this. For this, the government should start immediately.Farmer leader Gurnam Chadhuni said that the central government first talked about ending the movement, but the government should make it time bound. The farmers should not doubt the intention of the government. The farmers have doubts that the government may not be changed at all.

MSP: Farmer leader Balbir Rajewal said that the government has spoken to the committee in the matter of MSP. In which representatives of farmers along with other institutions, states and officials will be involved. We object to this. Such people should not be in the committee, who are involved in making laws with the government.

Ashok Dhawale said that farmers organizations and United Kisan Morcha should be represented in the MSP committee. For a year we fought the movement. Those farmers’ organizations who were in favor of the agricultural law can also be kept in the committee.

Gurnam Chadhuni said that there is a doubt about the MSP committee that the government may not keep those who support the agriculture law. We don’t want those people to be involved in this. That is why everyone is of the opinion that members should be taken from United Kisan Morcha as farmers’ representative.

Compensation: Kisan leaders said that the government has given in-principle approval on this, but we demand that the central government accept the demand for compensation like the Punjab model, which mentions a compensation of 5 lakhs and a government job. This will give justice to the families of the victims.

Electricity bill and stubble: Farmer leaders say that this bill should not be brought in Parliament. This will increase the hardships of the farmers and they will have to pay more bills. Regarding stubble, the government said that there would be no case against the farmers. The government did remove some things in the month of March, but putting a section in it may again cause problems for the farmers. Farmer leaders have also demanded the removal of this section.

It will take 8 days to return home: Tikait

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that the government is saying that we will withdraw the case, you end the agitation. That’s how we can’t trust. He said that many tractors of farmers are standing in police stations of Delhi. Who will enter there later? Therefore, the government should make the position completely clear on this. It will also take us at least 8 days to go back from here.

Will there be a decision on the movement tomorrow?

Farmer leader Balwant Singh Bahiramke has said that some points were not very clear in the draft sent by the government. This has been discussed for many hours. We need clarification from the central government on some of the proposals. They will be sent back to the government. We are hopeful that tomorrow we will get a reply from the government. Whatever offer will come from the government, further action will be taken after discussing it.

How will it get out?

The United Kisan Morcha has formed a committee of 5 members to negotiate with the Center on the issue of refund and compensation. In which Balbir Rajewal from Punjab, Yudhveer Singh from Uttar Pradesh, Shiv Kumar Kakka from Madhya Pradesh, Ashok Dhawale from Maharashtra and Gurnam Chaduni from Haryana are included. They may have their last meeting with the Home Ministry.

Pressure to end the agitation after the withdrawal of 3 agricultural laws

The central government has withdrawn all three agricultural laws, due to which this movement started. On which the President’s seal has been given after Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha. Since then, the farmers had started returning from the Delhi border. There was also pressure on the farmers’ organizations to end the movement.
