Terrorists have once again targeted the soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar. They attacked the 9th Battalion of Armed Police in Jeewan area of Srinagar. Two soldiers have been martyred in this attack.
One of them is ASI and the other is a selection grade constable. Along with this, 12 people have also been injured, out of which the condition of 2 remains critical. All the injured have been rushed to the nearest hospital. Terrorist organization Kashmir Tigers has claimed the responsibility of this attack.It has been told that the terrorists attacked the soldiers when they were traveling by bus. An official said that the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on the vehicle of the 9th Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP) on the Pantha Chowk-Khonmoh road. Several policemen were injured in the firing, out of which the condition of four is said to be critical. He said, ‘All the injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment. The area has been cordoned off and a massive search has been launched to nab the attackers.
Last day, a terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. A police official had said that the security forces launched a cordon and search operation after receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists in Badgam area of Awanti pora in South Kashmir district, during which the terrorists opened fire on them. The security forces retaliated, after which the encounter started.
