From time to time, we like to shout out other sites that seem to be genuinely involved in the spread of custom car culture. We recently came across California Sundays on Instagram and were enamored by their quality coverage of the custom car culture in California, particularly focusing on lowriders. Make sure to check ‘em out!
If you’ve ever been to SEMA, you know the cruise is one of the best parts because you actually get to see the cars that are on display MOVING instead of sitting like statues. Obviously some of these rides are simply trailer queens but our friend Bryan Fuller wanted to make sure everyone knew his 2011 392 Challenger SRT8 was certainly not. At :23 in the video, you see Bryan’s custom Challenger come into the picture and even though the LVPD presence was heavy, it’s pretty clear something is about to go down. Bryan lays down some serious rubber getting the cheers from the crowd only to hear those cheers turn into boos shortly after when a motorcycle cop pulls him over. Worth the ticket? Definitely.
Trans Am Depot of Tallahassee, FL, the only customization facility licensed to use the Trans Am logo, came strong to SEMA again this year with their Blackbird T/A conversion. We recently went through our pics from the show and stumbled upon some clips of this awesome vehicle so we decided to make a short visual! Enjoy the clip and for some quality pics, check out GT Spirit’s coverage here.
If you’ve been on the internet the last couple days then you’ve come across it in one way or another. Either you’re on the Camaro 5 forums and think its the worst monstrosity ever or you think it’s a dope show car. There seems to be no in between. But let’s break it down a bit more.. If for some reason you didn’t think Jeep Wranglers were apart of pop culture again, the recent Samsung Galaxy Note II commercial starring Lebron James made it official. Many celebs such as Jay-Z, Ciara and Diddy among many others have been seen whippin’ a Wrangler but the recent Samsung commercial took to an entirely new level as it was played for millions during recent NFL, NBA and NCAA games in particular.
Check out the full version of the commercial below as Lebron romps around Miami in his custom lifted Jeep Wrangler Unlimited! Also check out pics of Lebron’s other custom Jeep here!
There were plenty of dope rides at this year’s SEMA Show, but when it comes to cars we’d actually want to own, this Lowrod took the cake. This ‘bubble top’ Chevy Bel Air had a new school supercharged Cadillac CTS-V drivetrain, upgraded brakes and staggered billet shoes. The stance alone had show attendees in awe and we can only imagine how it’d look cruising down the strip.
Chad Johnson may no longer be in the NFL and is having a couple other issues, but that doesn’t mean he can’t spoil himself and add to his extensive whip collection. As he recently posted on Instagram, Chad copped a new Lamborghini Aventador customized by Alex Vega’s The Auto Firm on some concave Donz wheels. Keep your head up, Chad!
The Los Angeles DUB show is one of the biggest and most anticipated car shows across the country every year and having a proper showing is paramount. Mirani Motors once again stepped it up not only having one of the best displays at the show, they also took home first place honors in the Best Luxury Sports Car category! Now check out their dope visual from the show!
